We will be in Siena for a couple of days in early June and am interested in a Wine tour. I know I have read about some to take and some to avoid here in the past, but I can not find that information. Any suggestions on reasonably priced tours (really interested in Sangiovese) or those to avoid?
We took the Brunello tour through Cor Magis and had some problems. I wouldn't use them again under any circumstances. I've heard good things about Franco fadda and Angela in Chianti
We are in the same boat. Very few tours leave from Siena and since we are based there we really don't want to head all the way into Florence just to join up with a wine tour. We tried Franco and after a number of emails (I felt like a bit of a nag!) he said he is no longer available for the day we were hoping to get (probably my fault, I waited a week or so to get back to him). We are on a waiting list with country tours, although no one seems to have heard of them, but our hotel recommended them.
If you hear of any, please post.
Best of luck!
