Hi, We will be in Florence in September. We'd like any suggestions and/or recommendations on some wine tours that go further south for the nicer Brunello and Super Tuscan wines. We're thinking an entire day for two vineyards, including lunch. Thanks! Greg

Hi Greg. I recently took an all day tour from Florence to the Val d’ Orcia with Keys of Italy. We stopped for wine tastings in Montepulciano and Montalcino with a lovely lunch in Pienza. It was a small group tour (six of us) in a van. Great scenery, driver, wine and lunch. Highly recommend.

We did a Brunello day trip last October with Fabrizio from Ciao Fabry Tours. He picked us up in Montalcino (so we were already in Brunello land), but I think he picks up from Florence as well. We loved the two Brunello wineries we visited and did tastings with. And he took us to a sheep farm outside Pienza for lunch that was fabulous. He was very funny, knowledgeable, and we had an excellent day.
