What are your opinions on the best wine tour of Tuscany out of Siena for one day?
I would rent a car one day and get on the Sienese Crest Road and drive to Montalcino and then to Montepulciano and tour the wineries in these two places before returning to Siena.
You might want to check out Tours by Roberto (https://www.toursbyroberto.com/), highly recommended by Rick Steves. The tours sound excellent, and you wouldn’t have to have a designated driver.
We did Tuscan Escapes and Tours of Tuscany this July while in Siena. Both were good but Tuscan Escapes was better and I'd book them again. Full day tours each to Montalcino area (Tours of Tuscany we also went over to Montepulciano, but lots of driving). Visited three small wineries with each and also had a wonderful lunch at one on our Tuscan Escapes tour. That tour, our tour guide had made wine in San Gimignano for a number of years. Was a wealth of knowledge and great info on the drives to and from.
Excited to read this we have booked that tour for our upcoming visit. Thanks
