Wine tour from Florence

I will be ending my Rick Steves Italy vacation in Florence and would love to take a half day tour of chianti. Any recommendations on the best tours, and the best days to take those tours

Thank You
Tim

hey hey tttah
best means so many different things to people. some love it and some hate it with the same tours. depending on your budget and what's included in the tour. we did a tour few years back, asked to see certain places and private driver said no, he picked the places since many give him kickbacks (way of life there). we stopped at san gimignano which was crazy, so many people on tours (8-10 buses, 5 small vans, rental cars with tourists) could not even enjoy walking down lanes with shops, waiting in lines to pay for products, was so crowded. line to small cafe/gelato shop was long and around building with timed roaming around. do stop at the
mercatocentrale.com in florence. many shops & restaurants even a cooking school to roam around and enjoy all to see.

search tuscany and see what's offered. they are a third party seller, we have used them many times in different european cities and always had a great time, others feel different. just an option for you to check out.

know i added alot but enjoy what florence offers, so much to see and do with many options besides museums, statues, crowded places with long lines. we stopped at a small bar with seating outside with wine & chacuterie to people watch and the views to ooh and ahh, found family restaurants outside of city center having fun in florence with 4 friends

Do a private one if you can. Will be far more enjoyable. We did one with our family of four. Was under 400 Euro, and we went to 4 wineries, and visited Greve. We took they day, but you could also do it in half a day. We used Francis at ChiantiProDriver. He was excellent.

We just did a wine tour on 9/28 with Prestige Rent and it was really great. I would also consider company Walk About Florence.
