anyone done a wine tasting/tour in Campagnia? Hoping to get to the Aglianico area and the Donnachiara Vineyard specifically.
thanks.
Hi, Giangilberto from Milan, so, let me start by saying that I have not been to do a tasting in either of the two wineries that I would like to recommend to you, but I am a great wine enthusiast, I know many Italian wines, I have just returned from a very important food and wine fair which is taking place in Pavia in this period, and I do not miss the opportunity to do various tastings and try new labels.
My advice is to visit, also at your request, the Donnachiara winery, they are now a very solid reality and undoubtedly produce wines that are among the best in all of Campania, mentioning the Taurasi, 100% Aglianico, an intense and very fruity red, in my opinion their best production.
Below I put the link to the page of their website where you can book the various experiences they do, I would recommend the Taurasi Experience:

The second winery that I would like to recommend to you is exceptional for me, their wines are sublime, and their location is dreamlike, Marisa Cuomo company in Furore on the Amalfi coast, vineyards overlooking the sea of Amalfi, pure spectacle.
Absolutely worth trying are Furore Bianco Fiorduva and Furore Rosso Riserva, here too I'll give you the link to their website page where you can find the experiences they offer:
Dear Giangilberto, Thanks so much for your input. I need to figure out how to get from our hotel in Naples to Donnachiara. It's at the top of my list. Will also keep Marisa Cuomo vineyard in mind, tho they look to be about 2 hours from each other.
Appreciate your helpful input and expertise!
