Has anyone found a good wine tasting tour of the I Colli region near Trieste? There will be 4 of us, and our preference would be just our group, but we would also be open to a small group tour of 8-10. We're looking to visit a couple of local wineries and learn more about the wines. Thank you!
I was researching a trip to Slovenia/Trieste earlier this year (we decided on a different trip). I have lost the info, but I did run across a tour in that area, but it was to a Slovenian winery. The growing conditions and grapes are likely the same, anyway. I'm replying just to tell you that they ARE out there, so don't give up!
If I remembered where I saw it I'd happily share, but I didn't keep track. Have you checked Get your Guide or Viator?
Here's a link to a wine board I use. It's admittedly gonna have more geeky opinions about what makes a good choice, but it's a start. In general, it sounds like people love the area. I hadn't given it much thought before so thanks for giving me reason to dig deeper.
