Wine in Tuscany

We will be spending about 8 days in Tuscany and would love to do some (actually a lot) wine tasting. We'd love a private tour if possible. We've done these in France and have been pleased but I'm struggling to find these in Tuscany. A side note is that our 4-yr-old will be with us.

Make sure you do Brunello di Montalcino, best wine in the world.

We enjoyed a day with Tours by Roberto out of Siena. Spent time in Montalcino tasting Brunello in their fabulous enotecas, but did not tour there. There's a terrific wine tour in Umbria, Gusto Wine Tours, run by Mark and Giselle, British expats. That was my favorite wine experience in Italy. Only the two of us and Mark to small family wineries.

We did a wine tour of the 'Chianti Classico' region last summer with a company based in Florence called Slow days. They take small groups (I think up to eight people) into the countryside for a day visiting the vineyards and villages of Tuscany. It was a fabulous day and the food at the restaurant was the best we tasted during the whole trip.
I definitely recommend doing it if you get the chance.
