This is not a question, but a warning. We bought a bottle of wine in May recommended by the owner for a toast at the memorial service for my husband's father who had recently passed. Turned out he charged us 4x's the price. Further research on Trip Advisor indicates this is the norm. The lack of integrity of the owner is incomprehensible. Fortunately everyone else we encountered in our trip was genuine.
Buyer beware.
The name of the place is "Wine & Drugs"?
I will be there at the end of September and would appreciate the name of this place so I can avoid it.
Thank you
That is the name of the place, or the sign on the building we saw this past May!
If I can find the picture my DW took of the place, I'll post it!
We saw that place when we were there, and went in out of curiosity. I asked the woman who appeared to be the owner what was with the name....and, of course, that's what she would want someone to do. I think she said something like wine is her drug or something cheesy like that (yep, flat har, har, har). Obviously a tourist "come on." Based on its odd location (sort of within view of where tour groups would gather, but not really in the main shopping district, I'm sure they get a lot of "what's that?" type tourist traffic. Interesting re: the price. We didn't buy anything there, as it did not "appear" to be a locally owned, long-time shop (but who knows).
The name is Wine and Drugs. The owner, I assume, comes across as a real gentleman enticing you with his apparent interest in you. Expensive lesson learned.
