Wine and castle tours from Lucca

I am visiting Lucca in May and one thing we really want to do is a wine and castle tour. I can find a lot from Florence, but none from Lucca. Suggestions?

You could go to Florence, and take a wine and castle tour from there. The reason that you're not finding much, possibly, is that the area around Lucca is not known so much as a wine (or castle) area as the area south of Florence.

Thank you. Most of the tours leave early in the morning from Florence. I'm just worried we couldn't get there on time, but seems it may be the only choice. I thought maybe a private tour would be willing to pick us up in Lucca and drive to the areas where wine and castles are more prevelant. Anyone rec any companies leaving from Florence?

Here's one from Lucca: http://www.notordinaryways.com/tuscany-tours/lucca-wine-tours.htm More information on the area: http://www.cooking-in-amazing-tuscany.com/lucca_wine__oil_tours.html A wine estate near Lucca, if you can find a way there: http://www.fattoriadifubbiano.it/winetasting.html That one comes highly recommended on the wine tours" board on the Graffitti Wall: "One of the greatest "vino" experiences for me was at Fubbiano Fattoria in Lucca, Italy. Their wine & olive oil are some of the best that I have ever tasted. The family is so generous and spends as much time as needed with each and every guest. On their farm they have several rooms for guests that are immaculately kept. The farm is very beatuiful and not that far away from the wonderful town of Lucca and the marble mines of Carrara."
