We'll be doing Windstar's Yachtsman's Harbors of the Rivieras in a couple of weeks, stopping in locations like Portofino and Cannes. Looking for opinions on whether Windstar's shore excursions are a good value and are interesting vs. looking for tour operators on our own.

We’ve taken two Windstar excursions on Mediterranean cruises both in Spain. The first was to Seville from the port of Cadiz, the second was to the Alhambra in Granada from the port of Almeria, both excellent and value for price. Both tours had a guide on the bus who gave information about the areas we passed getting there and the destination. Local tour guides met us at each destination for the tour while there. The Granada tour included lunch which took place at an upscale restaurant, 5 course meal wine included. Usually we enjoy the ports where Windstar docks on our own but we’re so pleased we took these tours.
