Will I have time to take the Alilaguna?

So I think I have decided to take the Alilaguna from the airport to our Air BNB. I am told it is very close to the Orange Line Madonna Del Orto stop. My only issue is when we leave we have a flight with Easy Jet from Venice to Naples. It departs at 8:40 a.m. It looks like the earliest Alilaguna leaves our stop at 6:30 a.m. and gets to the airport at 7:02 a.m.. Is that enough time to catch our flight? Not sure how far in advance we need to be there.

Thank you

For a domestic flight, 1 1/2 hours is usually sufficient. There are earlier ways to get to the airport without having to resort to a water taxi. The 5.1 vaporetto runs starting 4:39 am to Piazzale Roma where you can get a bus to the airport. The bus takes you right to the airport door. The Alilaguna takes you to the airport dock, a ways from the airport, although with a moving walkway.

We are taking the vaporetto then bus.
Since we'll get a vaporetto pass we'll just add the airport bus to it.

We took the alilaguna arriving to Venice- that was nice and easy. I'd want to be at the airport earlier than the alilaguna allows.

Apparently due to local events, the motoscafi is not available on the date I need to go back to the airport.

I would be more than comfortable with that time frame. It’s a domestic flight.

Can anyone recommend a private water taxi service.

Ask your landlord? He/she should know. You cannot be the 1st customer they have had to need to get an early flight.

What date? What local event ate all the water taxis? There could be other disruptions as well.

since you are a straight shot across the lagoon and nowhere near the Grand Canal I'm surprised that the water taxis can't get to you.

I would have thought that even with Vogalonga they could thread their way through. Are you looking at 9th of June?

Yes, if it is something like the Vogalonga or the Regatta Storico where the Grand Canal is shut down, try calling the service number shown on the website and explain you are going basically from the Orto dock.

Motoscafi has blocked its on-line calendar for anything between May 3 through May 11. Don't see anything other than the Vogalonga on May 9, that would shut it down like that. Maybe a phone call is in order.

Back up plan should still be to get the 5:39 No 5.1 boat to Piazzale Roma, then the 6:10 No 5 bus to the airport. Get you there by 6:31

or a 20 minute walk to Piazzale Roma for a land taxi - 5 or 6 bridges.
