Wich Volacno to choose:Vesuvius or Etna?

I would choose Etna because I love Sicily and it is actually erupting. There are some great hikes on Etna too. Vesuvius was nice to see from a distance - but I was much more impressed
with Etna.

we went to the top of vesuvius which had views of the surrounding country and bay of naples. the crater is interesting with a bit of steam here and there. didnt get to etna but would have loved to.
we hiked to the top of stromboli and it was fantastic. a bit of a hard hike but you are rewarded with lava eruptions up close and personal.

The Etna. It's higher, and it's alive. It is also much bigger.
