Are you landing in Milan on your way from the U.S. as many of us do? If so, you will land about 08:00 or 08:30. You can get a train at 10:22 from the airport to Milano Centrale, where you change to the FrecciaBianca, arriving Verona at 12:57. You need to buy a second ticket from Verona to Venice. There are trains at 15:59, 16:29, 16:34, 17:04, 17:29, etc. They vary in speed from a little over an hour for a EuroStar, to 2 hours 15 minutes for a regionale. Regionales also cost less. If you are NOT starting at the airport, you can get away earlier by going directly to Milano Centrale. All of this information is available at http://www.trenitalia.com/. Click on "English" at the top. It recognizes the Anglecized names of towns, but I have found it best to input "Malpensa aeroporto" when you are coming from MXP.

There are numerous trains a day that go between Milan and Venice that stop at Verona. But, if you are coming from a flight into Milan, be very cautious about buying an advance ticket with seat reservations too close to the plane arrival. Planes are often late and you have one hour after the scheduled departure of your high-speed to exchange your ticket or its toast. If you are arriving at MXP, you can buy your ticket to Verona at the airport train station. Then, as suggested above, you can buy the second ticket from Verona to Venice. If you want your visit time in Verona to be flexible, buy the ticket on the slower Regionale train. The ticket is good for any train making the run for the next 60 days. If you buy ticket on the faster trains that require seat reservations, your flexibility is gone. Your ticket will show your specified train number and departure time. You need to be on that train.
