Which train to Genoa airport from Monterosso?

We are traveling from Monterosso on a Tuesday to go to our hotel by the airport in Genoa.
Should we go to Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole train station? And from the train station should we taxi to the airport? I have emailed the hotel, but as of a week ago, no helpful hints from anyone there.

Piazza Principe is closer to the airport. There is an airport shuttle bus which goes back and forth from the airport to both stations. Which is your hotel? Hard to give advise if I don't know where you are going, however if you have luggage it's probably best to take a taxi to the hotel.

I agree with Roberto. It's difficult to offer specific advice without knowing where your hotel is located. I also agree with the advice to take a Taxi. When hauling luggage and in an unfamiliar location, I've found that's usually the best method.

Thank you so much for your help. We are staying at the Tower Airport Hotel in Genoa. We are only there one night so that we can catch a plane the next morning for Chas Degalle Airport then home to US. There are 6 of us, each with one carry on size luggage.

Most comfortable would be an IC train to Piazza Principe station, then taxi. There is a flat rate fare of 21 euro for 3 persons from the station to the airport. You'll need two taxis. The flyer states "This service will only be carried out by request of the customer." So you have to ask for it.

Another option is to take a direct Regionale train in the afternoon to Genova Cornigliano which is about a mile from the airport, but i don't know if taxis are readily available there. Regionale trains are 2nd class only and will probably be quite crowded, at least through the Cinque Terre region, and makes many stops along the way.
