Hello! We have a stop on our cruise in La Spezia. Planning on training over to the Cinque Terre area and trying to decide which town(s) to go to. We will be in port from 7-7 and the trains run about every 1/2 hour. Looking to just explore, maybe do some hiking and eating.
Any recommendations?

You can easily visit several towns in that time frame. Skip Corniglia as you have to get way to the top of a hill.
Monterosso is the largest thus will have more shops and restaurants. See Vernazza and
Manarola at least.

Take a direct train from La Spezia’s central station (Central La Spezia) to Monterosso (30m) which is the town that’s furthest north and then work your way downward. If the ferries are running hop on to get to the next town which is Vernazza; if not take the train. If you don’t have time to see them all skip Corneglia. If you get around by ferry skip Corneglia altogether because you must climb 400 + stairs to reach it. If you get around by train a bus will be waiting when you arrive at Corneglia’s base to take you to the top of the town. When you reach Riomaggiore you can take a direct train back to La Spezia (15m).
