Which ticket to buy for Vatican

I’m a little confused which ticket to buy for the Vatican. There’s ones that have the museums another one that has museum and Sistine chapel and then a totally different one that is for the gardens. I’m going with my 16 yr old son. I know he won’t want to do a long tour that talks about all the history. What is the best plan for us? Thanks

The Sistine Chapel is within the Museums and does not have a ticket of its own. It is at the furthest distant point of the museums.

You can buy tickets from the official site, or you can buy tours from private companies some of which take you directly to the Sistine Chapel before the crowds and then take you around the rest of the rooms.

Yes, the garden is a separate ticket, as is the dome, as is the crypt. The entrance to St Peters is free.

All entrances require security checks at each.

Are u on the official site? https://tickets.museivaticani.va/home

There are no separate tickets for the Museums and the Sistine Chapel, the Chapel (an active Church dress appropriately) is part of the Museums and it's always included in the € 17 general admission ticket.

Are you interested in seeing the Gardens or not?

Enjoy a shuttle bus ride, complete with multi-lingual audio guide (available in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian), and discover the architectural wonders of the Vatican Gardens.
Departure/Arrival of the tour is at Largo del Sant'Uffizio. Visitors are asked to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time. The Vatican Museums are not included.
