I have a flight on Delta airlines DL6661 leaving FCO at 9:15 AM going to Paris. It is operated by Alitalia. I stay over in Paris for only a short while then board another flight on Delta (operated by Air France) to Atlanta. I am confused
as to whether I should go to Terminal 3 or Terminal 5. I will be arriving via Trenitalia from Roma Termini.

If it's operated by a European carrier (such as Alitalia) you will depart from T3.
T5 is a check in processing terminal only for US flag carrier flights.
There is also a Delta flight going directly from Rome to ATL at 9:15 am. That one would require you to go and check in at T5. So make sure you are going to CDG first with Alitalia.

Please forgive but I just noticed when on the web site for FCO that they also list Terminal 1 for Alitalia flights to
other EU destinations... in my case to Paris. Is Terminal 3 still the one to use?

Yes. Alitalia uses T1 as well.
Your flight departs from T1 (at least it did today)

Take taxi to Terminal 5, but then you go by bus to the departure terminal.

Your flight is operated by Alitalia.
Alitalia does not use T5. They use only T3 and T1.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll check on Terminal 1 or 3 as Roberto has suggested to make sure I am at the right one to catch my Alitalia (Delta) flight to Paris.
