Which hotel would you recommend in Milan? Hilton or Crown Plaza

Neither. The Hotel Berna, excellent brekkie, nice rooms, super convenient to Milano Centrale.

Do you need Milano Centrale or Milano PG?

Jenny, are you using points? otherwise I would say Nigel's recommendation is excellent (although I stay at Hotel Garda on the same street, a little cheaper). The Berna is very close to the Milano Centrale station and to the Metro which will take you the short distance into the centro storico.

Hotel Berna...hands down...this place is great. We've stayed there many times since 2005 and will continue to do so when we travel through Milano.

I was able to book Crown Plaza Milan City at $101 USD (with breakfast) and Hilton Milan Hotel at $90 USD (without breakfast) for two people. Both are free cancellation.

Given the price above, which one will be a better choice (location vs price)?

Jenny, these two hotels are only a few blocks apart (look at googlemaps). The Hilton is a little bit closer to the station, but I'd suggest that you check reviews for these hotels on tripadvisor and pick the one that sounds better to you.
