Which Hotel in Monterosso?

I am planning a trip for myself and 5 other adults (3 couples). First trip to Italy for everyone else. We are in our late 30s. I have our lodging narrowed down to 3 places that have confirmed availability: Hotel Villa Steno, Albergo Pasquale and Abergo Marina. Advice on which to chose? I of course like the price of the Marina the best, but the others have great views. We can "afford" to pay more, but is the additional $50-45/per night for a view worth it?

We stayed at Albergo Pasquale with our RS tour. Opening the shutters to the view is still one of our favorite Italian moments. Their breakfast was delicious and they are centrally located. We all walked from the station.

Heather, I'm not too familiar with Albergo Marina, but it looks like a nice Hotel. One reason the price may be lower there, is that the Hotel is some distance outside the town. If you prefer "quiet and seclusion" it may be a good choice, but of course it won't be as accessible to the town as the other two Hotels. I am familiar with Hotel Villa Steno and Albergo Pasquale (they're both operated by the same family). I stayed at Villa Steno last year (and will again on my next visit), and would recommend it highly. It's a very nice Hotel and the owners are wonderful! Although it's located on the side of a hill above the "old town", it's not hard to get back and forth when staying there. Albergo Pasquale is more in the centre of the "old town", close to the tunnel that connects both parts of the town. It's right across the street from a beach. For those that have a very generous budget, probably the most "upscale" Hotel in Monterosso is Hotel Porta Roca, which is at the far end of the old town at the entrance to the trail to Vernazza. When I was there last year, they were building a swimming pool overlooking the ocean. When I last looked at Trip Advisor, Villa Steno and Pasquale were the No. 1 and No. 2 Hotels in Monterosso, according to reviews by travellers. Buon Viaggio!
