Which Brunello wineries do you recommend for great tours and tastings beside Capanna Cencioni ?

Hi everyone,
Once again this forum is so addicting.
I was just wondering if anyone could recommend another boutique winery apart from Capanna in Montalcino which offers private wine tasting and a great tour experience. Looking forward to your recommendations.

Spent 6 days in Montalcino last year. First off go visit the creators of Brunello at the legendary Biondi Santi. The grounds are amazing. You need to reserve a time there ahead of time, don't just show up.

I liked La Fornace. It's a small family run place. We went before lunch and Fabio the winemaker invited us to stay for lunch with his family that was being made. It was amazing and one of the highlights of our trip.

Another favorite I enjoyed was San Polino, again for spending a while with the family and the stories they were telling us.

Collemattoni is great also. Marcello enjoys talking with the guests and teaching you their process. he is a character.

Casanova di Neri and Castiglion del Bosco are worthy of a visit.

One inside the city is Padelletti but it's not open to visitors officially. Made friends with someone up worked there and took us into the winery. They have documents pre-dating Santi as the oldest winemakers in the area. They are a very very small winery.

For tastings try a 2006-2010 from Poggio Di Sotto. They were on par or better then the Biondi-Santi's but the winery has since been sold to new owners.

The largest exporter is Banfi but don't waste your time visiting what the locals refer to as "banfiland". Banfi is loved and hated in town. They also had the DOCG Border expanded south so that their winery could be included. It's a massive commercial operation. yes some of the buildings are nice, but don't waste your time there.

There are over 200 wineries in town. You can also visit the tasting shop in town and try several different ones and see which winery has some that you like and then go visit those.
