Which airport? Naples or Rome

Hi! I can plan my trip to end in Naples, or to end in Rome. Either way really works for what I have planned. My question- which airport is easier to leave on our way to LGW? We've flown into Naples, it seemed really small and easy- but never out of. I'm assuming Rome is a major airport. Which one would you choose to fly out of- and why? (on an mid Oct Sat afternoon/evening)

What are your flight options from Naples to London Gatwick? If you are happy with them, then why not?

AFAIK, Easyjet is your only option.

If you can get a direct flight out of Naples, go for that. For most people, Rome offers more direct options. The advantage of a direct flight, is that you can get something reasonable for a departure 10:00 to around 1:00, so you are not scrambling to find a private car to get to the airport early in the morning.

Yes there is a direct from Naples to LGW on Wizz.

We went to Italy last Nov. We are going back so we are pretty familiar with what we want to do. We can either train from Venice to Naples or Venice to Rome and do the opposite. It al works out in the wash so I'm not super concerned with which comes first or last, the times of the Naples flight is more appealing to me and then I started considering nuisance factors and wondered.

You should be IN the city of your departure flight on the night before-
If your trip ends in Rome- leave from Rome
If your trip ends in Naples- leave from Naples

We've always found FCO- the Rome airport- to be easy and efficient
