We plan to fly from Paris to Pisa on a Saturday in April, see the Tower then bus to Lucca later that day (per suggestion by Rick) for 2 nights. Wondering where we can store our bags while in Pisa. Also, seeking opinion on whether the bus or train is the best way to Lucca. Thanks!
You can store your luggage at the Pisa Centrale train station:

Click on 'Tariffe' tab to see prices.
You may consider buying your tickets in advance to avoid waiting to climb the tower: http://boxoffice.opapisa.it/Turisti/
Have not been to Lucca (yet) but you can take a train from Pisa Centrale to Lucca (travel time 27 minutes)
Check this website for train schedules: www.trenitalia.com
nay,
As I recall, the travel time from Pisa to Lucca is about equal via bus or train (about an hour). You'll have to return to Pisa Centrale to retrieve your luggage anyway, so the train will probably be the easiest choice (that's what I'd use).
if you're staying inside the wall in Lucca, you might want to use a Taxi from the station (although the walk is not really that difficult).
Ken is right, the walk from the station to Lucca inside the walls is easy. I would stay inside the centro storico.
I am very familiar with this area. I would just get on to Lucca and check in and then make a 1/2 day trip to Pisa on another day. These towns are really close to each other and then you don't have to worry about dragging your suitcases around too much. Train is best to Lucca. Definitely stay within the walls.
