We will be driving from Segesta to Palermo in October. Our plan was to stop in Erice, but the funicular will be closed af that time. So we would like suggestions for an interesting town with nice scenery (& good restaurants) for a short stop (2 hours) before dropping off our rental car at Palermo airport. Castellammare del Golfo or another seaside town might work. Any suggestions? Grazie!
