I am looking for a place to stay in early September on southern Lake Garda for 3 nights after hiking in the Dolomites. I will not have a car and want to be accessible to a train station to catch a flight from Venice. Please suggest a town with lake access and bike riding.

Train access will be on the southern side, I stayed In Peschiera del Garda which was tiny and WONDERFUL.....I know that Desenzano and Sirmione are larger, but that all depends on what you are looking for in a town. I took a ferry to Garda for their market and I saw HUNDREDS of bikes parked, and I am almost positive there is a trail that goes around the lake, so I bet you can stay anywhere and utilize it! Getting a bike will be the most important part though....
