Trying to sort through the many hotel options on Capri for a 3 night stay next May. Right now I'm thinking about the Capri Wine Hotel in Capri or the Hotel Orsa Maggiore in Anacapri. Would like a view of the ocean and to be able to walk to dinner. Thoughts on whether its better to stay in Anacapri or Capri town for a 3 night stay?

We really liked Anacapri. The views are spectacular from Anacapri. Capri Town was crowded and very busy when we were there in May.

We loved our stay on Capri at La Minerva. It is on an uncrowded pedestrian path overlooking the sea. We easily walked to dinner and there were many excellent places to choose from, all reserved for us by La Minera’s owners. We could walk into the center of Capri Town after day trippers left if we wanted to, but usually stayed in the areas near our hotel with such gorgeous vistas. The walk from Giardini Agosto to Punta Tragara was beautiful.
We took a day trip to Anacapri by bus but were glad we stayed where we did.
