Where to stay in Southern Tuscany or Umbria? FARM or B&B?

We loved Agriturismo San Gallo, right at the edge of Montepulciano. They have a pool area beside a grove of olive trees. They have their own brands of Nobile di Montepulciano wine and olive oil, made there on the property.

It's less than 5 minutes to a market, and just a little farther to a larger supermarket. The apartments all have a kitchen, so we cooked our own breakfast and some evening meals, usually ate out for lunch and sometimes in the evening.
