We have a 6:30 A.M. International flight out of Rome on June 25. We are wondering where to stay to get to the airport 2 hours before our flight. Will we easily be able to get transportation to the airport or should we plan to stay at a hotel at the airport?
Thank you.
Thank you that helps a lot. Sounds like staying at the Hilton is our safest bet.
You could easily stay in the historic center of Roma and take a taxi to the airport early in the morning (the hotel will reserve one for you if you ask). Then you have a last evening in Roma. I have done this several times and the taxi has never failed to show up.
I agree with Zoe; spend your last night in Roma! My mantra is "I can always sleep on the plane." If you're planning to be at the airport two hours early, make sure that the checkin counter will be open that early, or you'll be frustrated that you're there, and the agents are not.
You can either stay in Rome and get a very early Taxi out to the airport OR you could sleep in a bit longer and stay in the Rome Airport Hilton. From the Hilton you can walk right into the airport terminals.
This is my take.
If you are already in Rome the preceding nights, I don't think it's worth it to change hotels. The taxi ride is less than 30 min at that early hour.
If you have been to Rome before, and you are spending only that last night in Rome, then it might make sense to stay at the Hilton inside the airport grounds.
