Sorry, I meant where to stay in Rome, Italy. I am looking for a inexpensive place. I am looking at a Monestary or nunnery. Any ideas.
Again, it would be useful to have a number for your definition of inexpensive. Might look at Beehive in Rome. Also, ask about convents,
You might be surprised how much prices have gone up for the good sister's rooms, especially if you are traveling with one other person. The least expensive are closest to the Vatican. There's also a group of young apartment owners who list on cityreference.com - you might be able to scoop up a small studio apartment for less than a room. Depends on if it's just you.
Our favorite place to stay is Camping Tiber just outside Rome. No camping gear required -they rent little trailors with beds like 40Euro a night. Wonderful showers , pool, with pick up and drop off every half hour at the train station. Take the metro to Flaminia and exit to the small train station there. Take the small train to Prima Porta and the Camping Tiber bus picks up and drops off every half hour.
Great restaraunt on the premises so its not far to walk after drinking the wine. www.campingtiber.com. We have stayed there the last 3 years .
