Looking for recommendations for hotels to stay the night before our tour begins. Just my husband and myself traveling. Would like to stay convenient to Vatican etc. Thank You!

Unless there is a particular reason for staying near the Vatican, I would not. It is on the edge of the tourist sights and some distance from Termini and other transportation options. I would stay in the hotel that the tour group is using. Are you going on a Steves' tour?
