As part of our trip to Italy in July 2024, my husband and I will be visiting the Ferrari museum in Maranello and if we have time, the museum in Modena as well. We will be in the area for 2 nights. Any suggestions of a place to stay? I couldn't find any recommendations in the Rick Steves Italy book. We will have a car so don't necessarily want to stay right in the city.

I am a car enthusiast and made a side trip to spend 3 entire days visiting both Lamborghini museums+factory and both Ferrari museums. We stayed at a B&B in Bologna (which is a really great city, btw). It took approx. 1hr to get from Bologna to Maranello and about 30min between both Ferrari museums. Super easy driving.

Would love advice on how to do these museums! We will be there in June and have two days set aside for both Ferrari museums as well as Lambroghini. We are not sure if we should plan to rent a car or if we can make it work with trains. Would also love suggestions about places to stay.

We haven't been yet, but are planning on driving. During our last trip to Tuscany, we had a car and it was easy.
