Where to stay in Montepulciano?

My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Montepulciano in Oct 2010. We would like to stay in town for about $150 or less a night (for four nights). Any recommendations?

Thank you for the suggestion. However, we were hoping to stay in town.

I stayed at Meuble il Riccio and liked it very much. Good location in a palazzo near the duomo. Delicious breakfast is worth the extra 8 euro. Their website is www.ilriccio.net.

We also stayed at Meuble il Riccio and would highly recommend it. We were arriving late Sunday and the owner took the liberty of making a restaurant reservation for us to get us in before they closed. IT was greatly appreciated as we arrived much later than anticipated. Breakfast is a bit pricey, but excellent. Very friendly. Outstanding views and the location is excellent. Be sure to visit the coppersmith when in Montpulciano. We spent an hour with him even though none of the 4 of us spoke Italian and he spoke no English.

Hi! I'm sure you will find very nice accomodation for much less than 150 per night!!
Give a look on the local tourist information web site: www.prolocomontepulciano.it and click on "attività ricettive" and then on Agriturismo.
There are many BEAUTIFUL agriturismo (nothing to do with AGRI...COLTURE).Most of them are provided of swimmingpool. You will find names pictures and links to their web sites. Average of prices for a nice accomodation is around 90 euro per night.
