Recommendations on a place to stay in Desenzano for 2/3 nights in early May? Will be coming (by train) from Verona at the end of the trip. The plan is to explore Lago di Garda by ferry from Desenzano. Any suggestions appreciated, including about private guides.

We looked at Park Hotel for our September stay. At the time, I believe they had a guided hike listed in their “experiences”, and the guide (a woman) was available for other excursions. Or maybe I am mixing them up with other hotels I considered. You could contact them and ask. It looks like a nice place but in our time frame they have a 4-night minimum which was more time than we have.
