My daughter is taking a class at Johns Hopkins in Bologna and I am her traveling partner. We can't seem to find a reasonable place to stay - we'd like a kitchen. Can ANYBODY help us - we're getting down to the wire and getting scared we wont' find anything and she's already registered.

http://urp.comune.bologna.it/ This is the tourist bureau site and has a 'contact' link on the top menu. Perhaps you try emailing them telling them what you want and see what they suggest. Otherwise couldn't JH give you some clues? Not really familiar with how JH works but maybe worth a try. She can't be the only one in this situation. Good luck

Try VRBO.com for apartment rentals. I used them for apartment rentals in Florence and Rome. You deal directly with the owner. We even got the owner for the Rome apt. to cut the price since we are staying 4 days.
