we leave Naples on the 30th of may and taking the train to Bari and want a $60-$100 room in a hotel for one night near the rail station and not to far from airport we fly out at 8pm on the 31st to malta. After a great long month traveling thru italy....just to relax and do nothing but lounge by the pool and eat, sleep and rest.

Lavina, we did not visit Bari because of the reported crime at nite (and we have heard that most of our fears were unfounded), but we can tell you what we do when we are looking for lodging, and cannot find a personal reference; we just look at the reccomendations on Trip Advisor. We have found that we can usually find what we are looking for by "mining" the reccomendations that people have posted on TA.

Lavinia, I've been to Bari several times but stayed with family, so can't help with hotel recommendations, but in addition to Trip Advisor, I like the booking.com website. Reviews are very helpful and are usually posted soon after visiting.
