Hi there
traveling in July and have 4 nights ... with 13/14 year olds. What are major differences? Pros and cons of each side? Will be coming from Sorrento and then after Ischia traveling to Rome.

If you're looking for a nice beach I'd definitely pick Forio, which is more relaxing. You will also have access to Lacco Ameno its beach and our favorite spa, Negombo thermal gardens a 6 minute bus ride away.
Ischia Ponte is the area around the Castel, which IMO is worth a visit, but to me Ponte and Porto can be a very congested areas.
