Where to stay close to FCO Rome last night?

I’m flying out of FCO around 3pm and am trying to plan my last night’s stay nearby. I will have been in Rome the prior week, so I am thinking not in Rome proper but maybe a nice village a short train ride to the airport.
Ideas?
A beach would be nice.
Recommendations?

Thanks!

In the town of Lido di Ostia, just a little SW of Ostia Antica, many (but not all) of the hotels have airport shuttles.

Thanks. I should have emphasized it’s not so much the hotel or transportation I’m looking for, but an interesting village or town to spend my last night and morning.

If your flight is early, I would stay at the Airport Hilton or some other hotel nearby (there are a few within short shuttle or taxi ride).

If you have your own wheels and your flight is not too early, Bracciano would be a nice town option. A closer alternative would be the coastal town of Fiumicino itself. There are a few hotels there, and it’s only 5-10 min from the airport.

Thanks, I will check out Bracciano. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of ruins, so Ostia Antica is on the radar.

Ostia Antica is great but I don't think there are any hotels nearby, and you'd need a taxi between there and FCO. Not a good choice for your final morning, when you'll want to be sure of making your flight that afternoon. I expect you could find a good place on the coast like those suggested above. I considered that but my flight was early AM so I stayed at the airport Hilton. No need for you to do that as long as you have reliable transportation to FCO on flight day.

Exactly! I want a nice seaside dinner my last night and a nice espresso in the morning before I make my way stress-free to the airport.
I don’t want to waste my last evening since I have time in the morning (3pm flight).

I was suggesting staying in Lido di Ostia, not Ostia Antica - the former has lots of hotels, and a train connection with Ostia Antica, in case you want to see it.
