Where to stay and play in Tuscany?

My husband and I are planning to stay in Tuscany for a few days in May. We envision ourselves at a quaint Airbnb doing a bit of wine tasting, perhaps a cooking class, and a lot of relaxing and taking in the senery!

Questions:

  1. I have eight, yes eight!, favorite bnbs saved at the moment. All are in the Tuscany area - a few are closer to the lake, Parco Regionale del Lago Trasimeno, and a few are up by San Gimignano / Florence. Is one area better than the other?

  2. What are your suggestions for "can't miss" wineries?

  3. Where do you suggest taking an evening cooking class (not a demo, but one where you get to be hands-on)?

Thank you!

I would choose the B&B that is closest to everything you want to see and do. Without knowing what you have planned it's impossible for us to suggest which area will be better for you.
