Where to stay and any other recommendations please! (lake Garda)

Hello!

We finally decided where to go and where not to go, thus we would appreciate to provide us with some more tips on where to stay and also other places to visit in the 1-2 spare days that we have please!

If someone can please give us tips on the below:
- what shall we do exactly on the day that we want to visit the lake. Go around with boat or around by car?
- where to stay exactly?
I think we can stay 7 days in 1 place based on the things we want to do? We will be renting a car, and the places to visit are Gardaland, Parco Natura, Venice, Verona, the lake.
- Should we visit Bergamo, Bologna or another town or village?

We excluded Dolomites / Ortisei from schedule because of the distance and because we thought it would be unforgettable a trip to Venice for the kids rather than Ortisei.

18 July, land at Bergamo 10, rent a car, go towards a hotel near Garda lake / Gardaland.
19 July, Gardaland
20 July, around lake with car and boat
21 July, Venice for the day (because it will be unforgettable to the kids). When are the busy days in Venice, in order to avoid them?
22 July, Parco Natura Viva
23 July, Verona
24 July, Other things? Caneva world or dinosaur park, maybe stay at Bergamo?
25 July, depart in the morning from Bergamo.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, we already booked our flight tickets, thus we cannot do what you recommended with Venice. We stayed 10 years ago in Venice, my wife didnt like very much the smell! She talks about it until today...

Thanks about the cable car, is a good idea.

Malcesine is a good place to base. That is where Mt. Baldo is. Whether you want to visit other villages by car or boat is up to you, also based on boat schedules.
All the towns on the north half of the lake are nice. On the south side the town of Sirmione is very popular. Nearby you can visit Verona and also the Valpolicella wine valley. Lake Iseo is not far either. Since you are going to Venice, you May not have time for much more. With a car, you could probably park at the Mestre station for less money.

Super thanks,

i think Bardolino seems more logical for us, based on the things that we want to visit.
