Where to spend an extra day..

Schedule our trip. Starting May 3rd. Flying into Rome
6 nights in Rome. Lodging paid
3 nights in Sorrento. Lodging paid
6 nights in Tuscany. Lodging paid
4 nights in Florence. Not reserved yet
3 nights in Cinque Terra. Not reserved yet
3 nights in Venice. Not reserved yet
1 night in Milan. Night before flight from Milan

We have one extra night. Wondering where to put it. It is to late to change Rome, Sorrento, and Tuscany. Does anyone have suggestions?

Venice. So many day trips possible and just wandering the city itself is lovely, especially after the cruise ships leave.

Looks like a nice trip!

Venice, without a doubt. Four nights will give you enough time for a day trip to Verona, or Padua, or Murano & Burano, or to just wander the back streets away from the crowds.

Since your choices are down to Florence, the CT and Venice, I'd go with Venice but it must be said that not everyone falls in love with that city. Too bad you can't change Tuscany. Sorrento really needs more time.

Other than Venice, consider Verona or Bergamo. Or spend 2 nights in Milan.

Another vote for Venice.

On another note, you don't have lodging in Cinque Terre yet. Better hurry on that, Cinque Terre gets filled up really fast.

If you can get tickets for the Last Supper, the extra day could be used in Milan, otherwise Venice seems the best choice.
