Where to sleep in Vernazza? Or somewhere close

Hi! I'm looking for a place to stay in Vernazza (or somewhere close in the CT). Any suggestions? It's for one night. Thank you!

Morgan, When is your trip taking place? That could have a bearing on availability of accommodations in Vernazza. Would you consider staying in one of the other towns? They're all close and travel between them is easy via the local train. For the current availability of accommodations and other businesses in Vernazza, use This Website. For information on businesses in Monterosso, have a look at This Website. The Guidebook has lots of good suggestions on accommodations in the other towns. Hope this helps. Buon Viaggio!

Morgan, You should definitely be able to stay in Vernazza in mid-September, however I'd suggest going through the accommodations that are listed in the links, and getting a booking soon! You could also use the Italy Guidebook to find accommodations that fit your criteria. As Toni mentioned, some of the establishments require a two night minimum stay, but that should be indicated in the Guidebook. YES, the towns are only a short train ride from each other, usually only about 10-minutes or so. There are also boats at times during the year, but these are subject to the weather to some extent. The trains are much more reliable. Regarding "hiking" between the towns, that is certainly an option when the trails are open, however I can definitely state that the hike is not "easy" in most cases. The most challenging and time consuming trail is from Monterosso to Vernazza, and the Vernazza to Corniglia section is almost as difficult. The only "easy" section is the famous Via del'Amore from Riomaggiore to Manarola, which is mostly paved and level. There's a nice Bar closer to the Manarola end, where one can purchase a "beverage" and sit and enjoy the view of the Ligurian Sea. Not all of the trails are open yet, but most should be open by September. Note that a Park Pass is required to hike the trails, and there WILL be people checking for that. Costs and details are in the Guidebook. Cheers!

This is great, thank you! We are staying for one night on September 14th. We are open to staying in other towns, especially since it seems like they are only a short train ride or hike away! (Or am I mistaken?) Thanks!
