Has anyone purchased Last Supper tickets thru Viator or another such company? Or is it better to go straight to the museum website to purchase the tickets? If one of the companies would provide transportation it might be helpful to us, as we are unfamiliar with transportation in Milan or transportation in Italy in general.
Purchase from the official site
Tix are hard to get so you’ll need to be online the minute they go on sale

The English tour is well worth the few extra euros
When will you be in Milan?
Where are you staying? Transportation is not complicated
I recently bought tickets on the official site. I was unsuccessful twice while using my iPad. I tried again using a laptop and it went right through.
Thanks.
We will be there in May. Don't even know where we are staying yet, so might look at someplace close to the museum.
Tram 16 runs across town, by the Duomo Square, and right past Santa Maria delle Grazie where the Last Supper fresco is located. There are also buses all over the city. Once you know where you’ll be staying use Google Maps and turn on “Transit” under Map Details (right next to “Traffic”) and see which lines go to where you’ll be and where they intersect with Tram 16. Alternatively you could have your hotel call a taxi to take you there, though I’m not certain how you’d get a taxi back. Good luck!
The tour companies charge a hefty markup for the same tickets you can purchase
on the official website. I would consider them only if you cannot get tickets otherwise.
Note that tickets can be added to dates that originally showed as sold out on
the official website as the date of tour gets closer.
As noted, public transportation will get you pretty close to the Museo, and really, it's
walkable from the Duomo area, so I would not center my accommodations there unless
you have other reasons for wanting to stay in that area.
Last year and the previous year tickets for the months of May, June and July became available for sale around March 19 or March 20. I recommend checking their official website for the 2025 release date for that period. (https://cenacolovinciano.org/en/)
