We will take a day trip to Siena (either on 5/25 or 5/26) with a car coming from Montepulciano. I understand it is best to park our car when we get there. Just wonder which parking lot is best to park our car so we won't run into ZTL zone or walk long to get to the city center.

We parked in the soccer stadium parking just outside the walls. It’s pretty small so it may be full. Also the entrance is hard to find and GPS didn’t pinpoint it. Look it up on Google maps and look at satellite and street view.
I understand parking at the train station is an option.
Exit the freeway at SIENA OVEST exit.
Follow directions to the STADIO “Artemio Franchi” (soccer stadium) which is often symbolized also by a soccer ball sign.
Next to the stadium and the nearby Medici fortress there are many parking lots. I prefer to park near the stadium, rather then near the fortress, because the walk to the historical center from the stadium is a bit shorter.
The parking at the train station is farther, and although they built an escalator, the walk is still partially uphill.
