Where to get rapid Covid test in Rome?

I need to get a covid test one day before flying from Rome to the US.

I have heard they are available at Termini station, and at some pharmacies including one at Via Cavour 112, about 7 blocks SW from Termini.

Can anyone with recent experience confirm this info, or add other locations close to Termini? Are there white tents, or other signs to look for?

I know I can get one at the airport, but I'd rather not leave it til then. I will be returning to US on March 22.

Thanks!

Many pharmacies throughout Rome provide the tests, and typically there is a small white tent or white metal box outside. You should have no problem finding a site, they are on all the main streets and in many neighborhoods.
Have fun.

I have the same question ... with a twist. We'll be heading back to the Hilton Hotel at the airport after we leave Spello and getting our flight out the next day. If we got the test in Spello, it would be more than the 24 hours before departure. So, anyone know if getting the test by the hotel is possible or do we have to backtrack to Rome Termini for testing?

You can get one at the airport, but I'd rather not wait til last minute, and I'll be in Rome the day before my departure so I would rather do it before I go to the airport. But, still, the airport might be a good option, verify that they still offer the tests

Keep in mind, the US uses more relaxed wording than other countries. It is not "24 hours" is is "no more than one calendar day before departure". So in the case of the OP, they are flying out on Tuesday, March 22; that means they can test at any time on Monday, and at any time on Tuesday up to check-in, and be OK.

There likely are pharmacies closer to Termini than the one mentioned, and probably several near where you will be in Rome. As for staying at the airport, you could just wander over to the airport and test the day you get there as opposed to wainting until you fly out, or if your departure from Spello is late enough, test there, as long as it is the day before departure.

I got a rapid test in early January at a pharmacy near Sant Maria Maggiore on Via Cavour--most likely at the one you've asked about. There was a white tent outside--really obvious. Be aware that at some pharmacies the tests are administered at certain times of the day and not during all open hours. I believe that was true at this one. My friends and I went first thing in the morning (8:30 a.m. to get in line, testing started at 9), completed the paperwork they handed us, handed over our passports, got our tests, waited about 10 minutes for the results, paid the 22 euros fee, and got a sheet with the results and our passports. We were on site for less than 45 minutes.

Any one know how available the pharmacies are on a Sunday? Our flight leaves early Monday morning and I'm afraid we may have trouble finding an open test site on a Sunday.

There should be plenty of pharmacies open on Sunday
Use Google maps to locate one near where you will be on last day and check their hours

Is finding a pharmacy that does testing something our hotel should be able to help with?

I’m sure if you asked they happily recommend a nearby pharmacy
Ours did for our upcoming trip, offered to make appointment as well
