Where can I get a Sim card upon arrival at Malpensa? Location at airport and cost would be appreciated.
I don’t think there are any phone stores at the airport. Last two times I flew there I had to drive to Gallarate to buy one. There are phone stores at the Malpensa 1 shopping center (a short drive from the airport) or also downtown Gallarate. If you don’t plan to rent a car but rather take the train to Milan, both Tim and Vodafone have stores at the Milan Centrale station.
Hello Mary,
I found this guide on-line which basically says all the SIM card offers at the airport seem to "bundled" with stuff you probably don't want and marked up in price sold by resellers.

But I'm not vouching for the complete accuracy but they don't seem to selling something else so I'm more inclined to think is accurate.
I agree on waiting for Milano Centrale if you are taking the train. There are multiple vendors within the train station itself to choose from. This is what I did and decided to go with TIM tourist plan which worked fine through out Northern Italy for the three weeks I used it. Even fairly aggressive usage didn't run out the data on that plan.
I don't know if the MXP train has WiFi but you should be able to make due with WiFi for many services until you get a SIM card.
Have a great trip,

Thanks to all for the info. We will be taking the train to Venice so Milan Centrale works out. If by chance time gets short to catch the train, do you have any info on getting the tourist SIM in Venice?
