Where to get a Covid Test in Milan on New Years Day? We need to get tested before our return flight to the USA on the 2nd. If you've been in Milan on a holiday, did you notice if there were testing centers open?
The on-duty pharmacy(ies) in the neighbourhood where you are staying. The concierge will find it for you, otherwise enter a pharmacy before the New Year's Day and ask who's the lucky one working on the 1st who's also making tests.
We’ll be spending a good part of that day ( the 1st ) training back to Milan from Sorrento, then our flight leaves in the AM on the 2nd from MXP.
Originally we were planning to test in Sorrento on the 31st.. When the rules changed to require a test 1 day before departure I assumed we would get tested at the train station in either Naples or Milan instead - I only learned yesterday that they closed the testing centers at the train stations back in September. Somehow I had missed that key piece of info.
It’s too late to order a testing kit in a box to take with us, so now I don’t know how we’re going to pull this off and find a return test -on a national holiday when everything is closed.
I guess my next step is to email my budget hotel near the train station to see if they can point me to an on duty pharmacy.
Tell 'em you need a test on the 1st otherwise you won't be allowed to board the flight home. A pharmacy may be open for medicines and stuff but have closed the test center on national holydays.
