HOSTERIA DA NERONE is a solid Roman restaurant very close to the Colosseum. But order the specials of the day or what the waiter recommends, and try the rigatoni alla pajata..it's divine. We ate there the first time on a recommendation from Maureen Fant, who knows A LOT about eating in her home city of Rome.
Make sure you look up the right Nerone because there is more thane with a similar name. This one is on the Via Terme de Tito, up from the site.
