Where to dine in Verona

I would like a recommendation for a moderately priced vegetarian dinner. I will be in Verona for one night, midweek, in early February.

How early is dinner served?

Hi Chani,

We had a fun meal at Osteria le Vecete (in Rick's Italy book.) They have great homemade pastas, crostini, and salads--I would imagine that you could find a vegetarian option. Dinner is served around 7:30 or so.

Hi Chani,

Someone on another blog recommended the following restaurant in Verona to me:

"Osteria Giuletta e Romeo Corso S Anastasia, 27 is a great place to eat at a reasonable price"

I don't know about vegetarian, although I should expect they would have some options.

My experience has been that most restaurants in Italy open for dinner around 7.

Chani - Through the years I've dined at about 7 of the restaurants directly on the Main square - they are all FABULOUS and will , for the most part, bring you what you want. Enjoy the city - It is special

Chani,

I can never remember where I eat because I either find a place while there or ask for a recommendation from a local. There is an old square walking distance north of the arena that seemed to be the most lively place to eat during off-season.

I doubt you will find anyone serving dinner earlier than 7:30 so don't skip lunch.
