Where to buy SIMS card in Rome

Hi, I wonder where we can buy SIMS card for our unlocked cellphone? We will be staying in the Navona area. Thanks.

sally, First of all, I'm assuming your "unlocked cellphone" is a quad-band GSM model? If it only has the two North American frequency bands, it WON'T work in Europe. I believe there's a TIM shop at Termini station. If you're passing through there on your way to Piazza Navona, you could buy the SIM card there. Note that you'll have to provide your Passport for registration, and you may want to get some help setting up your plan as the menus will be in Italian. You could also purchase a SIM card from one of the travel phone firms here, and with that option the phone would be available for use as soon as you step off the plane. Happy travels!

Hi Ken, I think it is a quad band as we were able to use it last year in London and Paris. We will have a pre-arranged pick up from the airport to our accomodation so we will not go through the Termini. Is there a place that we can get in the Navona area? Thanks.
