I will be traveling to Italy, first stop Venice and want to get a SIM card for my unlocked Android Nexus One. Can anyone recommend a shop in Venice (preferably an electronics or phone store) where I could buy one and get an english speaking salesperson to help me set it up? Thanks in Advance.

go to the main vodafone store from train station walk over rialto bridge on the right hand side. at the end of the bridge go right and start going down the steps. on your left is a small alley way that will lead to a main shopping square but the vodafone shop is there down in the alley on your right. can't miss it, i have an unlcoked tmboile g1 and got mine there

Um, the Rialto bridge is nowhere near the train station. There is a bridge near the train station that goes over the Grand Canal, but I don't recall the name.
