Where to buy heating pad in Sorrento?

After reading another thread regarding the use of bringing a heating pad from the U.S. vs buying one in Europe, it seems that I should do that also. We are leaving in a few hours for our 2 week stay in Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Any suggestions on where to buy a heating pad in Sorrento will be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like an item you'd buy at a Farmacia, and there are several in Sorrento.

Also ask your hotel front desk or landlord for suggestions.

I bought a European last year. Their high setting was lower than our warm low setting. Barely there. I threw it away. Those stick on heating bandages got hotter than the heating pad. Don’t waste your $. Or get a hot water bottle

Did it work in Europe and then not in the US? That would be the voltage difference.

On the other hand I bought one from HEMA in Haarlem many years ago and it still goes strong. Works perfectly on all 3 settings.

Callen, I think there is more than one "European" brand and type of heating pad, don't you think?

Well I guess it seems silly now but I just thought it was an electricity thing and not a brand thing. Or that Euro heating pads didn't get as hot as US ones. Back to that adage about assume. I would love to know if there is a brand that actually works. I use heating pads every day and I like the 'BROIL heat haha or at least more than tepid. This is the one I bought that was terrible: Norstar Moist and Dry Heating Pad for Overseas Use only 220/240 volt ( Will Not Work in the USA)

you apparently not only got something that you didn't like but vastly overpaid for it. If you bought something good here, in Europe or the UK, you would probably pay half of that $30 something.

People in Europe get period pain, backaches, rheumatism and other ailments here too, and find ways to remedy them - either heating cream, single use heaters, water bottles, or electric heating pads. They are available widely, inexpensive, and do the trick straightforwardly.

I'm sure that the reassurance of having it from Amazon, without having to ask a local for help, and paying in dollars removes stress, but for others the problem is simply solved.
